Robert "Bob" Lee Martin's Obituary
Bob Martin our sweet loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed on to his heavenly home on Saturday April 18, 2015 at the age of 80. He was born in Drumright, Oklahoma to Jesse R. and Lilah Lish Martin on August 15, 1934. He graduated from Sapulpa High School and was recruited by the FBI for training in Washington D.C. as a fingerprint expert under J. Edgar Hoover. He returned to Oklahoma the following year to enroll at Oklahoma State University where he received his degree. After graduation, he went on to work for Shell Oil Company as Supervisor of Credit/Collections and retired after 30+ years of service. He married Chrissie Williams on September 19th, 1986 and they shared 28 loving years together. They lived 26 years in Sapulpa before moving to the Broken Arrow area in 2013. They enjoyed years of retirement together working in their yard, landscaping, and traveling the world; from a memorable trip to Ireland to numerous warm and tropical beaches.. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Peggy Gordon and Betty Clark He will be deeply missed by his son Butch Martin and wife Terry, daughter Joi Wall and husband Stewart, daughter Tawnya Martin, daughter Kari Tiller and husband Scott, and son Scott Weeks and wife Colleen. His grandchildren, Jordan Matlock, Lauren Wall, Alex Martin, Alexis and Alyssa West and Kailey, Karsyn and Greyson Weeks will miss their loving Poppa. Arrangements are with Floral Haven Funeral Home. There will be a Memorial Service Friday April 24, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. St. Anne’s Catholic Church Memorials can be sent to Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter.
