Robert Linden "Lindy" Dekle's Obituary
Robert Linden (Lindy) Dekle, 70, of Tulsa, Ok, a loving husband, father and grandfather (Bubba) passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and co-workers, too numerous to mention. He was born August 1, 1945 to James S. Dekle and Jewel Dekle in San Antonio, Texas. Lindy was raised in Austin, Texas graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, returned home and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974. He married Karen D. Lowe of Midland, Texas on August 31, 1973. Upon graduating from UT, Lindy and Karen left Austin and moved to Midland, Texas where Lindy would start the pursuit of his career in the oilfields around the world – travelling to Europe, Russia, China, Middle East, Australia, South America and Central America. He has been working in many executive roles in the Oil, Gas and Artificial Lift Industry for more than 42 years and the last 17 years with NETZSCH Pumps North America. He has worked with NETZSCH Pumps North America building their global Oil and Gas Upstream business. Lindy was a simple man, a man of great faith, a man dedicated to his work, always and conducted himself with the utmost dignity. He delighted in spending time with his family, the family pets Dalton and Ginny, vintage cars, reading, and watching “his” Haley dance. Lindy is preceded in death by his parents, James S. and Jewel Dekle of Austin. TX, his brother, Jamie Dekle of Luling, TX, sister-in-law, Ofelia Lowe of Midland, TX. and his father-in-law, Bob Lowe of Midland, TX. Lindy is Survived By his wife of 42 years, Karen; son, Dallas and daughter, Haley of Tulsa,Ok; daughter-in-law, Maryam and grandsons, Daemeon and Haiden of Ft.Worth, TX; Two Sisters; Ann Jourdan and husband, Doug of Austin TX. and Cathy Sanders and husband, Sid of Houston, TX; Sister-in-law, Joan Dekle of Luling,Tx; Mother-in-law, Wanda Lowe of Midland, TX. and brother-in-law, Terry Lowe of San Angelo, TX. and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Neices, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
