Robert “Bob” Curtis Losure, 72, passed away July 19, 2019. He was born May 4, 1947 to Homer and Larama (Curtis) Losure in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bob worked as an anchorman for KOTV-Channel 6 and CNN Headline News.Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bob received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Tulsa and served as a radio anchor and reporter at CKLW in Detroit, Michigan and KRMG in Tulsa. He entered the television news field as an anchor and reporter for KOTV in Tulsa.In 1986 he joined CNN Headline News in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1995 he was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame at the University of Tulsa.Throughout his career Bob was a sought after speaker who shared his 30 years in broadcasting with civic groups, conventions and charitable organizations.Bob was a cancer survivor, speaker, corporate spokesman and an emcee for numerous corporations. He also authored his own book “Five Seconds to Air”. He shared his personal life and professional career with many who wanted to know what life was like as a journalist.He is survived by many friends across the globe, several cousins and by his loving wife of 18 years, Jana Losure and of course his 2 favorite kitties Baby tiger and Baby socks.No Services are planned at this time.
