Robert Neal McWilliams' Obituary
Robert (Bob) Neal McWilliams was born December 21, 1934; the fifth of seven children born to Richard and Dorothy McWilliams. He spent his childhood on several farms in north-central Oklahoma, graduating from Lamont High School in 1952. He attended one semester at Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater before joining the Navy,
hoping to become a pilot. Bob served on the USS Toledo during the Korean War. He contracted tuberculosis and was given a medical discharge in 1955. Bob returned
to Oklahoma State University on the G.I. Bill and earned his degree in accounting. He then moved to Texas with his family and started his career in the oil and gas industry. Bob was at the fore-front of the computer age and moved his family to Tulsa to become a computer programmer and analyst, working in that field until his retirement.
Bob loved John Wayne, reading, flying, Oklahoma State Cowboys and Blue Bell ice cream. He was a long-time member of Tulsa Christian Fellowship. Bob is survived
by his loving wife of almost fifty years, Shirley; daughter and son-in-law John and LuAnn Tomlinson of Jenks, daughter and son-in-law Doug and Hope Bailey of
Canton, GA, daughter and son-in-law David and Bobbi Sanders of Tulsa, daughter and son-in-law Kirk and Judy Hooper of Cypress, Tx; son Floyd of Florida,
sixteen grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother David of Lamont, OK, and many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Tulsa Christian Fellowship Missions.
