Bob Middaugh's Obituary
Robert Wayne Middaugh, 83 of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2022. He was born on June 15, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Albert Ray Middaugh and Frances Tennessee Pettigrew Middaugh.
Robert "Bob" is survived by his loving wife, Linda: one daughter, Karla Middaugh and two sons: Kevin Middaugh and Kent Middaugh and wife Zeline; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Middaugh and wife Beverly; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Albert and Frances Middaugh; his brother Albert Middaugh, Jr; sisters Mary Jane Silva and Joyce Johnson; and grandson Kyle Steven Middaugh.
Bob is a 1957 graduate at Del City High School, upon completion of high school he went on to play football at Conner's State College and then graduated at Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation he started in the plumbing business and then a career opportunity came about and moved to Broken Arrow with his wife and new daughter for a teaching job with Broken Arrow Public Schools in 1965. He enjoyed his career with the schools and retired in 1991 as the Director of Maintenance/Grounds with Broken Arrow Public Schools and a member of Fellowship Christian Church and First Christian.
Highlights of Bob's life he enjoyed sports of all kinds that included fishing, golfing, playing pool and watching and coaching his three children in sports throughout their childhood. Bob was extremely competitive and raced boats most of his adult life that took him and his family all over the country. During that time he was able to develop some close relationships with fellow racers. Bob and his wife had the opportunity to travel the world soon after retiring with Broken Arrow Schools, while he worked as a construction manager for power plants all over the world.
Some of his accomplishments were he was the President of Oklahoma State School Plant Managers, Former Officer of Wagoner Elks. He was a master craftsmen, he rebuilt cars that included restoring his 40 Model Ford that has been in the family for over 60 years. He enjoyed doing bodywork and painting, and anything that involved working with his hands. His biggest accomplishment of all is he was an awesome man of integrity and a loving husband to his wife Linda and great father to his children and Papa to his grandchildren.
A celebration of life service for Robert "Bob" Middaugh will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at First Christian Church, 2602 South Elm Place, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Reverend Shane Hickey officiating.
