Robert Jack Redding's Obituary
Robert, beloved husband, brother, step-father, grandfather, uncle and friend was called to Heaven after a brief illness in Tulsa, OK on May 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray Wilson and Juanita “Bennie” Redding of Waco, TX and brothers Bernis Ray Redding and Ralph Wilson Redding. He is survived by wife Beverly Wright-Redding, step-daughter Heather Casebolt and her children Ashleigh and Madeline of Tulsa, OK, sister Darlene Klitgaard of Austin, TX, niece Sharla Feller of Austin, TX, nephews Ralph Wilson “Dusty” Redding, Jr. of Grapevine, TX, Jack Ray Redding of Jacksonville, FL, and Darrell Redding of Summerdale, AL. Robert was the youngest of four children born to his parents in Marlin, TX on August 31, 1945. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he returned to Waco, TX and raised many champion racing greyhounds on his dog farm. Robert had a kind an d gentle heart and a sweet disposition. He always had a smile and a wit that seldom could be matched. He was an avid University of Texas Longhorn and Baylor Bears sports fan. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his family, friends and his beloved dog Oscar.
