Robert Reidenbach's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Lee Reidenbach who was born on September 18, 1947 passed away January 30, 2018 at home surrounded by his wife and all his children. Born in Van Wert, Ohio to Richard Earl Reidenbach and Catherine Lela Reidenbach he was one of three sons. He graduated from Van Wert High School in 1965 and enlisted in the US Army on October 5, 1966. He was sent to Vietnam and served in the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment (“Polar Bears”), 3rd Battalion, and 7th Infantry Regiment (“Cotton Balers”) and with 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning. During his service he received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal with 3 bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Valorous Unit Award and Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm.Bob had a heart for his family, the Lord, sports, and cars. To say that Bob had a passion for people is an understatement, his smile warmed hearts and his kind spirit filled every room he entered. If you really wanted to see him light up, then ask him about any of his 13 grandchildren! His love for Ohio State and TU football never wavered.
