Robert Scott Senter's Obituary
Robert Scott Senter died in his home on July 16, 2017 in Broken Arrow, OK. Scott was born on January 4, 1938 in Tulsa, OK to his parents, Robert “Bob” and Flora Senter. He graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Accounting and went on to receive a Master’s degree and CMA. He began working for McDonnell Douglas – Tulsa in 1953 until retiring as Director of Accounting in 1994. He married Julia in 1968 and went on to raise 3 children together. After retiring he continued to play jazz trumpet professionally as he had throughout his life. Jazz was his first love and he always considered himself a musician first. He was the leader of the “Sentimental Journey” big band and taught a class on Jazz Theory at Tulsa Community College. Scott is survived by his wife, Julia Senter; 3 children, “Mack”, Denise, and Patrick; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on July 20 at 2:00 pm at The Table Church in Catoosa (formerly Disciple United Methodist). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Scott’s life.
