It is absolutely appauling that "adult" men and women can't set aside their own feelings to focus on those of the deceased in a time like this. Regardless personal beliefs, relationships and opinions, this mans love for his fiancé and partner in life of nine years cannot be denied. If only for a brief period of time, ask yourself what is best not for you but for those closest to the deceased. Ask yourself what their wishes were, not yours. Put your selfish feelings and needs aside. Death isn't easy on anyone and everyone will grieve in their own way but exiling the person closest to the deceased simply because you didn't approve of the relationship is incredibly selfish. Actually, self righteous is a better descriptive. You cannot arrive at peace by ensuring others who are hurting are unable to find theirs.
