Robert R Warburton's Obituary
Warburton, Robert Raymond, 70, loving and devoted husband, father and friend passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Bob was born on March 28th, 1936 to Robert and Dorothy Warburton in Lawrenceburg, IN. At the young age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he began his life long career in the aviation industry. While stationed at Otis Air Force base he continued his love of sports by playing tight end for the Falmouth, MA All-Stars semi-pro football team. On a blind date in 1956 he met his wife of 46 years, Carmella Marie Warburton. In 1960, after graduating from East Coast Aero Tech he began his 33-year career with American Airlines retiring in 1993. Bob had a great love of the outdoors and after retirement spent much of his time fishing, hunting and golfing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bob was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Bob is survived by his wife, Carmella Marie Warburton; daughters, Brenda Lang and husband Brian of South Dartmouth, MA, Nancy Rhoads and husband Ben of Broken Arrow, Gail Garcia and husband Scott of Catoosa. His grandchildren, Adam Lang, Sean and Christopher Rhoads and Madison and Cole Garcia; special niece Marie Rej of Wakefield, MA; brothers Harvey George and wife Barbara and Arthur and wife Carol all of Lawrenceburg; sister-in-law Toni Traniello of Wakefield, MA. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, April 25th at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel in Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Hospice or The American Cancer Society.Survived By: Bob is survived by his wife, Carmella Marie Warburton; daughters, Brenda Lang and husband Brian of South Dartmouth, MA, Nancy Rhoads and husband Ben of Broken Arrow, Gail Garcia and husband Scott of Catoosa.
