Robert Roy Whitesell's Obituary
On Saturday, July 4, 2020, Robert Roy Whitesell, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away at the age of 66.
Robert was born on July 20, 1953, in Miami Oklahoma, to Marion and Helen Whitesell (Kinzer). Robert was raised with strong family values. Robert worked in the manufacturing industry for over 40 years and was the plant supervisor at the time of his passing.
The values from his parents became the cornerstone of his life and his own family. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Whitesell (Newkirk), on September 14, 1973. Together they raised two boys, Sean and Jeremy.
Robert was, for the most part, a quiet man who valued the simple life and had a great sense of humor; he was quite the joke teller. He enjoyed golfing, shooting his guns, playing poker stars, and watching birds-especially hummingbirds. But most of all, Robert cherished spending time next to his sons working on cars or a home project.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Helen Whitesell and his wife, Cynthia Whitesell. He is survived by his two sons; Sean and Jeremy; grandchildren; Alexis, Hunter, McKayla and Trent; great-grandchild James; brother Charles Whitesell and sister Pam Williams; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
