Robert Winkle's Obituary
On Sunday, December 7th, 2025, Robert Edmond Winkle Jr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior. He was 71 years old- and still had the best head of hair you’d ever seen.
Robert, affectionately known as "Bobbo" was born on Monday, May 3rd, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to his loving parents Jennie Franketta Winkle and Robert Edmond Winkle Sr of Jenks.
A man of many passions, Bobbo loved listening to music, playing the drums, fishing, and spending long summer days at his father’s lake house. Above all else, he cherished time with his family. He had a tender heart for both people and animals, offering kindness freely and without hesitation. He was a Christian who found great purpose in studying the Bible and sharing God’s word with those he loved. He was a man of integrity, and you could always count on him to give it to you straight, whether you wanted him to or not.
Bobbo had a genuine smile that could light up any room. He was known for his loving, compassionate, gentle and protective nature. He was the type of man to give you the shirt off his back. These qualities made him an exceptional son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend, but nothing compared to the way he loved and showed up for his children. He often said they were his greatest accomplishment—and he meant it.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Jennie Franketta Winkle; his father, Robert Edmond Winkle Sr.; his great-grandmother, Alice Virginia Brown; his grandmother, Sutta Perryman Bowlegs; and his beloved “Uncle Charlie,” Charles Edmund Bowlegs.
Bobbo is lovingly survived by his son Robert Edmond Winkle III (“Trey”) of Tulsa, and his daughter, Whitney Rhoden of Jenks. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Christina Winkle; son-in-law, James Rhoden; aunt, Cheri Deason; brother, David Winkle; and two sisters, Cheryle Thompson and Edith Loretta Winkle. His grandchildren: Lilly Rhoden, Vivian Winkle, Colette Winkle, Ariane Winkle, Derrick Rhoden and Brayden Rhoden.
