Rocky Hutzel's Obituary
Rocky Dale Hutzel, a beloved husband, father, and cherished member of his community, passed away on October 9, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 27, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to William Hutzel Sr. and Joanne (McCowen) Dodwell.
On February 14, 1999, Rocky married the love of his life, Sherrie Allen, in Leonard, Oklahoma. Their union was a testament to their unwavering love and commitment to each other, and they shared countless precious memories throughout their years together.
Rocky is survived by his devoted wife, Sherrie Hutzel, son, Jim Martin, son John Fasterling, brother William Hutzel Jr, brother Don Houston, sister Kelli Roberts, sister Sherrie Owens, sister LaVonne Lowell, sister Charlotte, brother Marvin, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous loved ones who were all touched by his presence.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, nephews Colton Houston and Aaron Roberts as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Rocky had a passion for old movies and would often lose himself in the captivating stories of the silver screen. He loved having his treats and eating candy. His co-workers would hide the snacks because they knew Rocky would eat them all.
Rocky found solace and joy in the open road. He was often seen cruising through town in his trusty truck, a symbol of peace and freedom.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Rocky will remember him for his infectious sense of humor. He had a knack for finding joy in everyday moments and had a way of lighting up a room with his laughter.
Rocky's love extended beyond his human family. He had a special place in his heart for his fur babies, Rachel and Toby. Their companionship brought him comfort and joy, and he cherished their unconditional love.
Rocky Dale Hutzel will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darlene Lundy-Veo officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
