Roger Anthony Dailey's Obituary
Roger Anthony Dailey, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was born August 8, 1935 on a farm near Warwick, North Dakota, son of William and Esther (Thompson) Dailey.
He enlisted in the Army August 4, 1954 and served overseas in Berlin, Germany 1955-1956. After his military service, he attended The University of North Dakota. While attending UND, summers were spent working for Kiewit Construction involved in building the Minot Air Force Base. His sales career began in 1962 as he worked for Westland Oil Company for 20 years. The next 12 years were spent selling educational products, giving the opportunity for many relocations including Winnipeg, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. He retired in 1995 and then moved to Broken Arrow, OK in 1997 to be near family. He spent much of his free time over the years playing cards, hunting, fishing, skiing and playing golf.
Roger is survived by his wife Jacqueline, daughter Sheila Dewald and her husband Steve of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and their son Timothy Dailey of Chaska, MN; grandchildren Michael and Hallie Dewald. His sister Deloris Davis, of Maple Grove, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers William, Daniel, Allen and David, and sisters Rita Norling and Betty Plum.
A rosary will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 20, 2023, and the Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, at St Benedict Catholic Church, Broken Arrow.
Roger's final resting place will be at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, rural Mandan, ND in the spring of 2023.
