Roger M. Flippo Jr.'s Obituary
FLIPPO — Roger Murry, Jr. , died September 25, 2001 in Broken Arrow. He was born in Norman, OK, January 14, 1984 to Roger and Maryanne Flippo of Broken Arrow. Roger was a senior at Broken Arrow High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Math Club, All- District Bassoon player, and Tiger Mascot. Roger attended Indian Springs Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. He was the Senior Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop 935 in Broken Arrow and was working toward completing his Eagle Scout requirements before his death. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gwinn Norman, of Norman, OK. Survived by: his parents, Maryanne and Roger Murry Flippo of Broken Arrow; his brothers, Ryan, Jonathan and Robby Flippo of Broken Arrow; his grandparents, Murry and Annice Flippo of Tulsa, and Fred Norman of Grand Prairie, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roger Murry Flippo, Jr. Memorial Fund at Arkansas Valley State Bank, 302 S. Main St., Broken Arrow, OK 74012, 918-257-9611, to be used for the establishment of a Boy Scout Scholarship Fund in his name. Service is to be held Saturday, September 29,2001 at 11 a.m. in Broken Arrow at Gracemont Baptist Church, 145th and Broken Arrow Expressway. In terment will be immediatelyfollowing at Floral Haven, located at 71st South and 129th E. Ave. in Broken Arrow, 252-2518.
