Roger Kent Harrison's Obituary
Roger Kent Harrison was born on June 8, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Oliver B. Harrison and Grace Marie (Laughrey) Harrison. He passed from this life on April 27, 2017 at the age of 77. Roger grew up helping his family run the Brown Farms Dairy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1957 and graduated from Oklahoma A&M with a major in History. Roger was an adventurous spirit who spent time in the North-West fighting forest fires and served in the US Army Reserves. Roger assisted in the planning and building of Southern Villa Mobile Home Park with his father Oliver in 1966. Roger married the love of his life Dorothy Mae Roubal on July 19, 1969 after meeting her on a blind date. He continued to manage and then own Southern Villa until recently when his nephew Randy took it over from him. Roger enjoyed football (especially Jenks High School and OU), fishing, hunting and was a weather aficionado. He was an avid coin collector who deeply enjoyed history. He was especially interested in American History and the Old West. Roger was sweet soul that listened more than he spoke. He cared deeply for others and would share advice on anything he had experience with. He was a Christian and a member of Harvard Avenue Christian Church. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Grace; and his wife, Doti. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Linda Heller; his daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Trevor Corban; his son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Ashley Harrison; his granddaughter, Vanessa Harrison; his nephew Randy Heller and his wife Lisa and other nieces and nephews.
