Roger David Lister's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger David Lister, 84, on December 31, 2024. Born on December 7, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Emma Lou Strong Lister and Donald Frederick Lister.
Roger was a devoted husband to Bette Lynn Irvin Lister for 62 years, and together they shared a life full of love and cherished memories. He was a proud father to Douglas, Roger II, Angela, and Kendallyn, and a loving grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Roger was deeply committed to his family, supporting them through all of life’s joys and challenges. Roger had a successful career in advertising with Donrey Outdoor Advertising in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he built many lasting friendships. He was also a dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa. Outside of work, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Bette; children, Douglas (Maychee), Roger II (Melissa), Angela (Anthony), and Kendallyn (T odd); 15 grandchildren; his brother, Dale Lister; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his sister, Dianne Hollerbach; his sister-in-law, June Lister; his brother-in-law, Robert Irvin; and grandson, Carson David Hale.
Roger will be remembered for his love, wisdom, sense of humor, and devotion to his family. Though he is gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
