Roger Nation's Obituary
Roger Ernest Nation, 68, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away September 23, 2022 due to complications from esophageal cancer. He was born January 25,1954 in Amarillo, Texas where he lived until moving to Broken Arrow in 1979.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nation and Sammie Louise Nation, and brothers, Jim and Toby Nation. Roger is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy Nation; Dustin (Carolyn) Nation of The Colony, Texas and Miranda (Michael) Conn of Rockwall, Texas; his step-mother Mary Nation of Raleigh, North Carolina and his brother, Tim (Vicki) Nation of Amarillo, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Mallory, Ellsy, and Holly Nation and Olivia and Hudson Conn, and countless extended family and friends.
Roger enjoyed card games (and their rules!), food, travelling, fishing, NASCAR, and camping - especially with family and friends. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed his long career as a designer draftsman for both Flynt & Kallenburger and Matrix Architectural Engineers. Roger officiated football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball. He was a longtime member of Arrow Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Floral Haven on Tuesday, September 27 from 5 to 7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow. A memorial service to celebrate Roger's life will be held at Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow on Wednesday, September 28 at 11 AM.
