Ron Clayton Barnes' Obituary
Ron C. Barnes was born January 20, 1951 in Cushing, OK and passed away on March 4, 2013. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1969 and served in Vietnam as an MP. He was an Electrical Contractor and owned Emergency Electric until his retirement. He was a dedicated OU Football fan and would never miss watching a game. As lifelong car enthusiasts he loved cars and enjoyed actives with the Green Country Mustang Club. As a 14 year twice cancer survivor he learned to value life's treasures. Ron is preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Ron is survived by his wife of 28 years Donna; daughter Amy and husband Jamie Sharp; brothers Bill Barnes and wife Marsha of Broken Arrow OK, David and wife Joyce Britcher of Midland TX, Gary Potter of Coperas Cove Tx and sisters Wilma Jean Parkinson of Lake Jackson TX and Cheryl Bowen of Melbourne Fl: grandchildren McKenzy and Lane Sharp of Guthrie OK. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his aunt Betty Lamar of Tulsa and his beloved cocker mix, Harley and Westie, Rocky. Visitation will be from 7pm – 8pm on Thursday, March 7at Floral Haven. Funeral services will be at Floral Haven Chapel on Friday, March 8th, at 3PM.
