Ron Dellinger's Obituary
Gary Ronald Dellinger transitioned from this life on the evening of Monday, July 25, 2022. Ron was born on October 23, 1934, in Gentry, Arkansas. After growing up on a farm in Springtown, and graduating from Gentry High School, Ron left Arkansas, and hitchhiked to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to study at the Oklahoma School of Business, Accounting, Law, and Finance (“OSBALF”). After graduating from OSBALF, he went to work for Meadow Gold Dairies, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and eventually worked his way up the corporate ladder into leadership within the parent company, Beatrice Foods, and later with Borden Dairy. Retiring after 35 years in the dairy business, Ron went to work for Bama Companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and retired after 15 years as the Chief Financial Officer. He so loved his work with the Bama Companies and never hesitated to tell everyone how much he enjoyed working for the Marshall family. With the Bama Companies, Ron was able to travel the world to help the Bama Companies expand into other international markets. He enjoyed travelling the world and experiencing new cultures. He used to say, “Can you believe that a farm boy from Arkansas is traveling the world and involved in major international business.” Besides his love of business, he celebrated and was dedicated to the three Fs: Faith, Family and Friends. He loved the Lord, his large family and friends, music and sports – especially golf. He lived a great life and we are happy he is whole again. Congratulations dad on a life well lived and an eternal reward well-deserved.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Sherman Dellinger and stepmother Naomi Dellinger; mother Goldie Hardcastle and stepfather A.C. Hardcastle; brother Lynn Dellinger; sister Barbara Foreman; and son Scott Dellinger.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Dellinger; daughters Rhonda DeFrance and Midge Dellinger; son Kevin Dellinger and daughter-in-law Lisa Dellinger; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; one brother, Terry Dellinger and sister-in-law Sandy Dellinger; multiple nieces and nephews; Mary Lou Henegar, mother of Rhonda and Scott; and many other family members and friends.
