Ronald Nelson Dwyer Bigler
July 26, 1939 – August 7, 2025
Ronald "Ron" Nelson Dwyer Bigler, 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2025.
Ron was born on July 26, 1939, in Wichita, Kansas, to Walt Dwyer and Norma Hume. He was a proud graduate of Wichita State University and served his country as a tank driver in the United States Army.
Ron spent much of his professional life with Skelly Oil Company, which later became Chevron, where he was a dedicated and respected employee. He married the love of his life, Millie Edwards Bigler, on September 23, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they made their home and raised their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walt Dwyer and Norma Hume, as well as his grandparents, John Lloyd and Helen Dunbar.
Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Millie Edwards Bigler of Tulsa; his children: Dr. Jeffery Lloyd Bigler of Tulsa, and Jennifer Lea Bigler Rokisky and her husband, Daniel John Rokisky of Knoxville, Tennessee; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Joy Gray Bigler; and his sisters, Barbara Jo Bigler and Carol Sue Bigler.
He was a beloved grandfather to Nicholas Joseph Rokisky, Brooke Danielle Rokisky Hindman and her husband T.K. Hindman, Vivian Jane Bigler Bobo and her husband Cason Bobo, Theodore Phillip Bigler, Dean Wallace Bigler, Bruce Douglas Bigler, Clark Edward Bigler, and Henry Warren "Hank" Bigler.
A service to honor Ron’s life will be held on Sunday, August 10th at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2706 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A reception for family and close friends will follow the service.
Ron will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Cemetery.
