Ronald Carter's Obituary
Ronald Eldon Carter, beloved husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend and a passionate patriot passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on April 15, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, Ronald lived most of his life as a resident of Broken Arrow, OK. where he lived a life filled with dedication, service, and love.
Ron met and married his devoted wife Shirley on November 21st 1970, a true love that flourished over 53 years. He loved his country and was very proud of his service in the United States Navy, where he exemplified the values of duty and honor. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career of 37 years at FlightSafety International, where he made timeless contributions in the flight simulation industry. He retired from Flightsafety in 2015.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Carter, and their son, Jason Carter, along with Jason's wife, Kimberly of Canton GA. Ronald cherished his role as a grandpa to Courtney Carter, Cheyenne Carter of Canton GA, Alexus Worrall and husband Andrew of Litchfield Park AZ, and he found great joy in the laughter and love of his great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Kooper Worrall, 1 brother Mark Martin of Arnett OK, 1 Niece Sarah Martin and 1 Nephew Charlie Martin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sarah Martin of Neosho MO.
A memorial service will be held to honor Ronald's life and legacy, allowing family and friends to come together to celebrate the remarkable man he was. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Ronald's memory, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
