Ronald Wayne Edwards
October 18, 1955 - January 14, 2026
Ronald Wayne Edwards was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, on October 18th, 1955, to Roscoe Conklin Edwards and Lela Lila Minne Vann. He was the second of four siblings.
Ronald attended College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and East High School in Denver, Colorado. He later attended Claremore Junior College.
Ronald had a lifelong love for music. He played the guitar and, as a teenager in Bartlesville, was a member of a band called Ronnie and the Uniques, which performed for live audiences. While living in Denver, one of his first jobs was operating stage lighting for concerts featuring famous entertainers and bands. In recent years, he managed the website Oleskool Legends, which was dedicated to old school music.
In grade school, Ronald won awards in basketball, baseball, and archery. Family was extremely important to him, and he was known for remembering everyone’s birthday. He had a wonderful sense of humor and greatly enjoyed entertaining his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Zebulon and Minnie Vann; his paternal grandparents, Lincoln and Plymouth Edwards; his baby brother, Keith Edwards; and his eldest daughter, Andrea West.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, Cheryl Ann Edwards; his daughters Angela West (Colorado), Chantell Addison, Ashli Richard (Marquis), and Kayonna Addison; and his son Ronald Keith Edwards, all of Tulsa. He is also survived by his brother Lovell Webb Jr. (Joan); his sister Gwendolyn Shinault (Art); and his grandchildren: Twins Jade and Jared Sneed, Brittany West, Brianna West, Ariana West, I’mari Ross, Mikael Ross, Jaiden (Addison)Richard, Dorian Richard, Mariyah Richard, Roman Richard, Melodi Richard, Khyren Johnson, Kierra Edwards, Twins Stormy and Destiny Edwards, Savion Cleveland, Rheighne Bullet and one great granddaughter Jaliyah Marie
He is further survived by his nephews Lovell Webb III (Patrice), Joel Webb (Kathy), D’Angelo Montes, Jeffrey Montes, and Julian Montes; and his nieces Brandi Bain (Abel) and Bethany Scroggins (Cage).
