John
I worked part-time for Kirk Jewelers in the late 1980's while attending OCC when Jessie was the watchmaker and Ethyl was manager. When I first started, Mr. Ron came in and spent alot of time looking me over. When he left he told me he was keeping an eye on me. After some time, i earned his trust and he was so very good to me. He not only gave me a .50 cent raise, (big money in those days), there was a small cafe in the shopping center where i would go sit and if i could afford it would have breakfast or lunch, ( i was a starving college student). Mr. Ron saw me sitting there one day not eating and he "made" me order something to eat and paid for it. He also told the owner if i was ever there and did not have money to eat to put it on his tab and he would pay for it. He was very thoughtful, generous and kind. He had great Christmas parties at his house too. He was also one of the best dressed people i have known. I think of him when i gift wrap presents because he taught me how to gift wrap one Christmas season. God Bless you Ron- thank you for treating me so well during a tough time in my life! John F
