Ronald Harold Hardy's Obituary
Ronald H. Hardy was born in Long Beach, California on October 4, 1961. He passed away at his home in Sperry, Oklahoma on September 21, 2015. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Teresa Hardy of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by four cousins, Bob Bailey of Pasadena, California, Paulette Klatt of Wildwood, Missouri, Helen Smiley of Independence, Missouri and Bill Stevens of Waldorf, Maryland. Ron was predeceased by his parents Helen and Glenn Hardy, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ron was employed for 24 years as a computer operator for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. At the time of his death, he was employed by Wal-Mart as an overnight inventory stocker. Ron loved Pinto and Paint horses and researching the genealogy of his own family tree as well as helping others do the same through his work at the Tulsa Genealogy Society. Ron has also worked with the Pinto Horse Association showing his horses at state fairs and other horse shows. He was a tireless volunteer for the National Pinto Horse Association annual National Show for many of the years it was held in Tulsa. He loved his Labrador Retriever, Paige, and his Pinto Paint horse, Duncan. Ron also loved the lake and along with his brother, Richard, had a deep interest in watching and riding trains. He worked with Richard providing sound engineering for many airshows in Muskogee and Joplin. Ron will be dearly missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Charitable contributions in his name may be made to: Tulsa Genealogical Society, Any of the Pinto or Paint Horse Organizations,Lab Rescue, The Animal Aid, Trinity Episcopal Parish in Tulsa-Operating Fund, or Trinity Episcopal Parish in Tulsa-Iron Gate Fund(Feeding Ministry). Funeral Memorial Service to be held Friday, October 2nd, 2015-3:00 pm-Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
