Ronald Moore's Obituary
Ronald (Ronnie) J. Ralph Moore, 80, of Oklmulgee, Oklahoma went home to be with his Savior on August 3, 2017. Surrounded by his devoted and loving wife, Sara Lynn (Sadie) Moore, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dear friends, Ronnie completed his journey on earth and arose to Heaven greeted by loving parents, sister, and so many more.Ronnie was born March 20, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ralph and Pauline Moore. Ronnie was so blessed to have a true soul-mate, best friend, and love of life, Sadie Moore. Ronnie and Sadie were married October 3, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ronnie graduated from Will Rogers High in 1955. He played for the Will Rogers Ropers football team as an offensive and defensive lineman. He went to the University of Arkansas where he played football for two years before transferring to Oklahoma State University.Ronnie had three children with his first wife, Dolores (Hudgins) McGee of Waco, Texas; Brian John Moore and wife Lizabeth of OKC, Oklahoma, Dara Denise (Moore) Hays and husband Jamie of Norman, Oklahoma, and Gregory Keith Moore of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Ronnie was blessed with grandchildren Garrett and wife Terri Hays of Billings, Montana; Alicia (Moore) and husband Jeff Thompson of Denver, Colorado; Austin and wife Brandi Hays of Norman, Oklahoma; Amber Dillard (Moore) of Moore, Oklahoma; Zach and wife Kelsey Moore of Edmond, Oklahoma; Taylor Moore of Moore, Oklahoma, William Moore (deceased) and Josh Moore of OKC, Oklahoma. He was also the proud great-grandfather of six beautiful children.“Coach Moore” as he was fondly called, devoted his time to many young people. Ronnie was an avid hunter and enjoyed sharing the sport with his sons and grandsons. Ronnie and Sadie owned Sweetbriar Farms where they raised and raced thorough bred horses. Ronnie’s love for the outdoors, animals, family gatherings, and the peace of Sweetbriar Farms were captured in many of his writings. We celebrate the life of this man- son, husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend.In his words, “…and when we stand and tremble beneath that eternal mountain, We ascend it knowing beyond the summit, Lies lowly vale and fountain.”So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18Services will be held in his honor at 11 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Floral Haven Rose Chapel.
