Ronald D. Reed's Obituary
Ronald D. Reed, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on October 18, 1949, in Sapulpa, OK, Ron grew up with strong Southern values—family first, work hard, be honest, and treat people right. These principles shaped the man he became and guided him throughout his life.
Ron shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with his wife and best friend, Kathie. Their relationship was built on unwavering love, mutual respect, and deep companionship. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, resilience, and countless memories. Their love story remains an inspiration to all who knew them.
Family was the center of Ron’s world. As a father, he was thoughtful, supportive, and steady. As “Papa,” he was extraordinary. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he embraced that role with unmatched joy and pride. Whether he was telling stories, giving advice, or simply being present, his gentle spirit made him their superstar Papa.
Ron also had a lifelong love for the outdoors. He was happiest with a fishing pole in hand or enjoying the quiet peace of a hunt. These passions weren’t just hobbies—they were part of how he connected with the world, found relaxation, and shared time with the people he cared about.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Kathie; his children and their families: son Aaron (Monica) Reed and their children, Lauren and Emily; son Ryan (Kristen) Reed and their children, Lilah and Norah; and daughter Shana (Mike) Holloway and their children, Cody, Wesley and Brian. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Peter) McMeakin; his brother, Fred Reed; his brother John (Sandi) Reed and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ron’s life will be held at Fellowship Bible Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on December 12th at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and pay tribute to a man whose kindness and love touched so many.
Ron’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the example he set, and the countless lives he quietly enriched. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. May he rest in peace.
