Ronald Dean Smith's Obituary
Ronald “Ronnie” Smith was born on February 14, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to his parents Ruben (Rex) and Grace Smith. He attended Daniel Webster High School, Class of 1957. He joined the Army right of High School. He was in the Korean War, and ended up in Germany where he met his lovely bride, Margarethe Spreng. They were married on December 23, 1961, until her passing on October 19, 2009. They lived in Germany until sometime in 1962, and moved to Tulsa, OK. They then returned to Germany in April of 1964, where they stayed until 1979. After returning to Tulsa, he became active in the Lions Club for many years. Ronnie retired from Broken Arrow Public Schools. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. He loved music of all kinds. There was never a dull moment while he was around, always had a joke or a funny story to tell. Ronald is survived by his son, Ray Smith of Tulsa, Ok, his two daughters, Brenda Stephenson and husband Phillip of Terlton, Ok and Juanita Gibson and husband Keith of Bixby, Ok, brother Bob Smith of Tulsa, Ok, sister Jeanie Smith of Kansas City, Ks, brother Kenneth Smith of Beggs, Ok, sister Carolyn Dickerson of Tulsa, Ok, sister Terri Hensley of Norman, Ok, brother, Richard Smith of Kansas City, Ks, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
