When I first met Pastor Jerry in 1979 at Rhema I didn't know quite what to think about him. You meet some flaky people at Rhema but I soon came to know that Jerry was not one of those people. Jerry was the real deal. If any man ever fulfilled the "Greatest Commandment" Jerry did. He loved the Lord his God with all this heart, soul and mind and his neighbor as himself. To me Jerry was a friend, a mentor, a teacher and a Pastor. We have to say goodbye to Pastor Jerry for awhile but one day we will all be together again and we will "Stroll over Heaven with him."

I sold coffee at the coffee bar at OFHC for a season. Pastor Jerry would stand there early Sunday mornings and just pour Jesus into me. I am so thankful for those times! He also used to say; "If you see something in me that you like, then git up here and I will pray for you" I would always ask God for Pastor Jerry's wisdom and boldness. I am now part of a Pastoral team and I know God answered those prayers! I am forever grateful to God for Pastor Jerry and what he imparted to me! I am looking forward to the day when I will see his smiling face again and thank him for all he imparted to me.
My brother-in-law, Jerry, was always very special to me. I have a lot of precious memories of our talks together, laughs, sitting around with the family while he and his brother, Bob, played and sang. Jerry always had something to say and he could preach a message at the drop of a hat. He is now home surrounded by family and most of all, Jesus!
