Ronnie Thomas Miller's Obituary
Ronnie Thomas Miller (Ron T. Miller) was born April 19th, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Carrie Elizabeth (Deweese) Miller and Harley Cleo Miller. He died in his home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was 75.Ron graduated from Central HS and served in the Navy on USS Shangri-La, where he trained as a pilot and graduated flight school, first in his class.Ron Miller and Jim Woolsey were classmates at Central High and graduated in 1959. Both entered the Navy, where Ron went into Personnel and Records; and Jim went into Naval Intelligence, retiring during the Clinton Administration as the Director of the CIA.Ron earned a BSBA degree in Industrial Management from University of Tulsa. He worked at North American Rockwell for 11 years, where he achieved the status of the first accredited Quality Engineer in the state of Oklahoma.Ron and his brother Harold Miller, started Miller Manufacturing in 1972. He incorporated in 1979 as Midwest Precision, Inc. (MPI) MPI performs sheet metal fabrication for multiple industries. MPI is recognized as a leader in the manufacturing industry and was the recipient of the OK Governor’s Leadership Award for Manufacturing in 2015.Ron and his wife Sammye are the owners of Samron Leasing, which consists of owning and leasing commercial real estate.Ron was involved in the leadership of many organizations, including Chairman of the Board of Education for the Catoosa Public School System, Omega Foundation, For His Glory Foundation, Executives of Tulsa, and a Co-Sponsor of the Young Businessmen of Tulsa. He also served as officer and board member of the International Fellowship of Christian Businessman.After a successful career in manufacturing, Ron began the retirement process by promoting his son, Brian Miller, positioning Midwest Precision for outstanding growth and success.Ron was proceeded in death by his brother, Harold Miller; his mother, Carrie Elizabeth (Deweese) Miller; his father Harley Cleo Miller; his grandson, Bradley Thomas Miller; and his nephew, Onney Charles Miller.Ron is survived by his spouse, Sammye (Sullivan) Miller; son Brett (wife, Lloydell); son Brian (wife, Gloria); and grandchildren Chad, Lauren, Nicholas, Alexis, and Sheridan.Memorial Services will be held on Monday, April 3rd, at 11:00 AM at The Assembly at Broken Arrow, 3500 W New Orleans St, BA, OK 74011
