Ronnie Shadowen Jr., a beloved son, brother, friend, and dedicated professional, passed away on May 10, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and adventurous spirit. He was born on May 18, 1995, to Rose Marie Waters, who instilled in him values of hard work and determination.
In 2012, Ronnie achieved an important milestone by earning his GED, demonstrating his commitment to education and personal growth. The following year, he graduated from Tulsa Welding School, embarking on a career that allowed him to showcase his technical skills and attention to detail. In 2013, driven by a sense of duty and patriotism, Ronnie joined the U.S. Army, serving his country with honor and courage until 2015. His military service was a testament to his selflessness and commitment to a higher cause. After completing his military tenure, Ronnie applied his expertise as a System Set Tech for Walmart, where he quickly excelled in his role. His dedication and leadership qualities led to his promotion as Field Project Manager from 2017 to 2019. Ronnie's exemplary work ethic and ability to adapt made him a valuable asset to the organization. Later, he transitioned into the role of a Senior Communications Tech for Elite Cabling Systems from 2019-2023, where his technical acumen and problem-solving skills allowed him to thrive. Ronnie's colleagues recognized him not only as a skilled professional but also as a caring and supportive friend. He considered everyone he worked with as family, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and support.
Outside of work, Ronnie had a passion for the outdoors and embarking on exciting adventures. Fishing, hunting, and traveling were among his favorite pastimes, allowing him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty. He also had a flair for culinary arts, relishing the joy of cooking and experimenting with flavors. Motorcycles, video games, and modifying vehicles were other hobbies that sparked Ronnie's enthusiasm. He found joy and fulfillment in the pursuit of his passions, always seeking new ways to express his creativity. Ronnie had a talent for art and tattoo design, and his creations were a testament to his artistic spirit.
Above all, Ronnie cherished the company of his family and friends. He believed in the power of strong bonds and considered everyone he encountered as family. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ronnie Shadowen Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a zest for life that will continue to inspire those who knew him. While his departure leaves a void in the hearts of many, the memories of his adventurous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and boundless love will forever remain etched in our minds.
He was preceded in passing by his grandpa, Walter Dale Waters; his grandma, Kathryn Mae Waters; his Papaw, Robert Shadowen; his grandma, Gwendolyn, and his aunt, Amy Ledbetter.
He is survived by his mother, Rose Marie Waters "Momma"; his son, Rylan Blake; his sister, Summer Nicole Shadowen "Sissy"; sister, Kandalyn Worth "Kandi", brother, David Justin Kimbrough "D.J."; his nieces, Abigail Marie Kimbrough, Mallory Renee Kimbrough, Journee Aaliyah Hunter; his grandmother, Annette Shadowen "Mamaw"; and numerous other family members and friends. Ronnie's memory will forever be cherished. Ronnie Shadowen Jr. touched the lives of many and his spirit will continue to shine bright. May he find eternal peace and rest, knowing that he has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who loved him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:30 PM, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
