Rosa Mae Hammer's Obituary
Rosa Mae Hammer, 87, passed away on September 26th, 2021 in Broken Arrow, OK. Born December 27th, 1933 to George Reed and Nora Reed Simmons. She graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1952; she then became a keypunch operator for the Getty Oil Company. She married Jerry Hammer on August 16th, 1958. She was an active wife and mother, spending time playing tennis, gardening, traveling, entertaining large get-togethers, and going to the casino. Rosa Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters Velma Simmons and Nadine Yount, her two brothers Roy and George Reed, and her husband Jerry. Rosa Mae is survived by her boyfriend Jim Wood of Afton, Oklahoma, her daughters Brenda Livingston and husband Nelson of Cincinnati, OH, Annetta Almeida and husband Matt of Broken Arrow, OK, and her four grandchildren, Ann Marie Scott and husband Ben of Broken Arrow, Tate and McCartney Johnson of Cincinnati, and Jaclyn Almeida of Broken Arrow, granddog Norman, sister Maxine Baker and husband Junior of Robstown, Texas, and brothers Troy Reed and wife Kathy of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Bill Reed and wife Cary of Grove, Oklahoma.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 at Floral Haven. Donations may be made in her honor to the ALS Association online at www.donate.als.org.
