Rosalie Ann Hibbs' Obituary
Rosalie Ann Hibbs, 91, of Catoosa, passed away July-17-2023 (on her late husband’s birthday) at Porta Caeli House (Heaven’s Gate) surrounded by her family. She was born December-17-1931 in Lubbock, TX to Rabey & Marie Funk. Rosalie married Russell Robert Hibbs in 1958 in Amarillo, TX. They built from the ground up a family home in Acton, CA with their two children, Russell and Monica. She was a retired RN of 30 years when the Hibbs family tried a new start in Broken Arrow, OK. They had been married for 37 years when he passed away from cancer in 1995. Rosalie enjoyed raising grandkids and great grandkids for many years along with serving her community through church any chance she got. She was a long-time member of St. Anne’s church and Catholic charities volunteer. She is preceded in death by her brother Rabey Funk, sister Marie Gardner, husband Russell Hibbs and daughter Monica Hibbs. Rosie is survived by her sisters, Jeanette Mason & Joan Ledwig, son Russell, grandson Joshua, granddaughter Shawleigh and 7 great- grandkids. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Rosalie’s life at 1pm Wednesday July-26-2023 at St. Anne’s Church in Broken Arrow with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery. Donations may be made in her honor at go fund me Grandma Rosie’s Funeral. Rosalie loved unconditionally and will be greatly missed.
