Rose Carbiener's Obituary
Rose Ellen Carbiener passed away with her family by her side at Saint Francis hospital, after a long battle with cancer.
Rose enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking for her friends and family. She volunteered with the Tulsa County Election Board as well as the Lutheran Braille Workers for many years.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Helen; her twin daughters Caryl and Cheryl; two brothers Benjamin and an infant; four sisters Ruth Clice, Edith Freymeyer, Mary Worcester, Martha McDonald; one brother-in-law Robert Carbiener; dear friends Paul and Barbara Ellis; and her beloved husband of 61 years, Marvin.
Rose is survived by her son Kevin Carbiener and wife Melody of Manteca, CA; daughter Karen Bitner and husband Dan of Wichita, KS; daughter Kelley Goodrum and husband Tony of Locust Grove, OK; God children Tim Ellis and wife Michele of Frisco, TX and Lori Mason and her husband John; and Grandchildren, Katelyn Carbiener and fiancé Erik Der of Irvine, CA; Megan Carbiener of Tempe, AZ and Shawn Bitner of Wichita, KS.
Sister Ann Palmer and husband Charles of Olmsted Falls, OH; brothers-in-law Norman and wife Judy of Geneseo IL; Irvin and his wife Jan of Murfreesboro, TN; sister-in-law Darlene Westcott and her husband Jerry of Cresco, IA; Along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rose’s parting thoughts. “I was blessed by loving relatives, both by blood and marriage, and also by many dear friends throughout the years. One family in particular, who were a big part of my life for many years; Barbara and Paul Ellis, their son Tim and daughter Lori, and their families. I thank God for all of them.”
Suggested memorials are Lutheran Braille Workers, Bethesda Lutheran Communities and Saint Francis Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9 from 4 pm - 6 pm.
Graveside services will take place at 11:30 am at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will be held at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran church on Saturday, 7/10 at 1230 PM.
