Rosemary Ruth Foster-Lewman's Obituary
Rosemary Foster-Lewman, age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On July 10, 1930, she was born Rosemary Ruth Bennett to parents Eugene and Ruth Bennett in Okmulgee, OK. She grew up in Okmulgee and until 1942 when she moved to Tulsa. She married the love of her life, Jerrel Thomas Foster on December 9, 1946. They were blessed with two children, Jerrel Thomas Jr. and Linda Dianne. Rosemary had a long career in finance and retired from Citgo Petroleum in 1998. Her husband Jerrel passed away in 2000. She married again in 2003 to Frederick Lewman. They were married until his passing in 2005.
Rosemary had a huge heart for the Lord and accepted Christ as her savior when she was 8 years old. She was so small she had to stand on a soda pop case so she could be seen at the church revival. She loved attending church and playing dominoes with her friends there. She volunteered on the Southwood Baptist Church Board of Finance and Personnel and Trustees. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed Tai Chi and walking with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ruth Bennett, her brothers Daniel and Otis Bennett, her husband Jerrel Foster, and her second husband Fredrick Lewman.
She is survived by her children, Jerrel “Tom” Foster Jr and Linda Dianne Yohe and her husband Anthony. Grandchildren Dale Foster, wife Dani, David Foster, wife Stephanie, Kristy Holveck, husband Devin, Domenic Yohe, wife Molly and Dante Yohe, wife Kaylee. Great-grandchildren, Nathan, Lucas, Quinn, Sorcha, Eilon, Allie, Kaleb, Tommy, and Roman.
Service for Rosemary Ruth Foster will be held at Southwood Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Interment at Floral Haven Memorial Garden, Broken Arrow, OK.
