Rosemary Somerford Priest's Obituary
Rosemary Priest 78 passed away on August 24, 2023. She was born in Navasota Texas on March 18,
1945. She moved to Delay Beach Florida two years later where she spent the remainder of her childhood. She graduated from Seacrest High School in Delray Beach in 1962. It was there she met her high school sweetheart, Richard Priest, whom she married. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Rosemary is survived by her two children, Brad (wife Maureen) and Angie (husband Eddie) and four grandchildren, Nathan, Corina, Max, and Joey. Rosemary enjoyed many activities including spending time with her family, dancing, fishing, water skiing, snow skiing, and horse training. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa and a Master's degree from Northeastern State in Tahlequah. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, and a National Certified Counselor. She served as Executive Director for the Associated Centers for Therapy from 1987 until 1992. She and her husband Richard moved to Tallahassee Florida in 1992 where she was Clinical Director for the Apalachee Center for Behavioral Health. She entered into private practice in 1993. She and her husband returned to Tulsa in 1997 where she continued her private practice until the current date. She has made a difference in the lives in many people. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
