Rosen Loyd Marion's Obituary
Rosen Loyd Marion, born August 21, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Rosen and Wanda Marion, passed away on May 8, 2025.
Rosen was a man of quiet strength, warm laughter, and a twinkle in his eye that often came with a grin “like he didn’t catch me.” He proudly served his country in the United States Army doing recon work in Germany and returned home with stories, skills, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. An avid outdoorsman, Rosen loved fishing and hunting and could often be found in his workshop building birdhouses—each one crafted with care and love.
He had a sharp wit and a jokester’s heart, always ready with a laugh, a grin, or a story that left you smiling. Rosen loved his family deeply and never missed a chance to cheer on women’s softball and basketball, often remarking how much he admired the grit and skill of the players. His family was his greatest pride, and he shared a special bond with his beloved nephew.
Rosen is preceded in death by his wife Billie Marion, parents, and sister Paula Dawes.
Rosen is survived by his daughter, Sue Stroud and her husband Glenn; brother, James Marion; grandchildren, Rick Dawes III and wife Peggy, and Jennifer Fritz and husband Eric; nephew, Jeff Bartlett and wife Lee-Ann; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Fritz, Logan Fritz, Sam Dawes, and Devin Dawes.
Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
