Roy Edward Griggs' Obituary
Roy Edward Griggs, age 75, passed away on January 27, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on October 1, 1949, in Andrews, Texas, Roy was the beloved son of the late Robert Eugene Griggs and Betty Bell Kelley Griggs.
On July 21, 1976, Roy married the love of his life, Cynthia Armstrong. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their unwavering commitment and love.
Roy pursued some college and technical school education, which paved the way for his accomplished career as an oil and gas engineer. In addition to his professional achievements, Roy proudly served his country in the Army for two years, including a tour in Vietnam.
Throughout his life, Roy resided in several places, including Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Sugarland, Texas; and Lubbock, Texas. He enjoyed a myriad of hobbies, such as freshwater fishing, woodworking, bowling, and his passion for muscle cars and drag racing.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Bell Griggs. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Cynthia Griggs, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and his brother, David Griggs, along with David's wife, of Tampa Bay, Florida.
Roy's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, hard work, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
