Roy L. Nurnberger's Obituary
Roy L. Nurnberger, born July 9, 1926 in DuQuoin, Illinois passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on July 22, 2013. Roy was married to Linda Marie Nurnberger. The couple was blessed with 35, wonderful and exciting years together. They enjoyed their 6 wonderful children; Judy (Stan) Seaton, David (Donell) Nurnberger, Tim Nurnberger, Terri (Alan) Kleinschmidt, Belinda Glenn and Eric Shepherd, and Alan Whitehead. Roy and Linda were also proud Grandparents of 15 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. And of course their beloved cat Baily. Roy was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy; having served during World War II. Roy and Linda were members of the First Christian Church of Broken Arrow. Linda would like to pay special thanks to all of their wonderful family and friends for all their time, thoughts and prayers. Thanks to Gail Ann Helton and Christan Smith for providing lunch after the Graveside Service in Weldon; and thanks to Lynn Walker, Connie Cescon and Jerry Kuhn for providing the lunch for the Memorial Celebration in Broken Arrow. God, family and friends are what meant the most to Roy and what made his world so wonderful. Linda will always remember her “Roy Boy” as a loving, caring and fun person with the most enthusiastic personality and wonderful laugh and Not so wonderful snoring!!! She will say “Goodbye for now, and you will never be forgotten.” “Love you Always, Baby” Your Loving Wife.
