Roy Harris Pestel's Obituary
Roy Harris Pestel, 89, passed away January 9, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born at home in Red Fork, Oklahoma on January 3, 1928. Roy was a graduate of Webster High School. After graduating, he entered the Army and was honorably discharged in 1948. Roy was a master machinist and began his career at American Airlines. Later, he formed Pestel Crankshaft Grinding, retiring at the age of 82.He is survived by his children, Cary Pestel & wife, Janice, Teresa Ris & husband, John, Jo Lynne Krumel & husband, Robert, Sandra Rankin and Jerry Jordan; grandchildren, Danielle & Cara Pestel, Lindsay Ross & husband, Michael; one great grandchild, Claire Ross and three siblings, Donna Planchon, Troy Pestel and Paul Pestel & wife, Opal. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Pestel in 2000.Visitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, January 11, 2017, Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2017, Floral Haven Mausoleum Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
