Roy Wayne Rogers passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday June 12, 2023, after a 3 ½ year battle with lung cancer.
He was a Specialist Five in the Army’s NSA unit during the Vietnam War. He received many commendations.
He worked in the Transportation Industry his whole life. He retired from FedEx Freight in 2016, after 20 years as a city driver/night doc supervisor.
In retirement, he loved to travel with his wife, Sandi, in their travel trailer. We traveled to all 48 states and enjoyed every minute of it. We especially enjoyed taking the grandchildren to Seattle and Carlsbad Caverns.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra Rogers. Daughters Annalisa (and Mike) Bast and Sarah (and Mike) Fulton. Grandchildren: Avrill, Ariana, Trinity, Thomas and Andrew, his nieces Sherry Smith and Amy White and half-sisters: Barbara Hartlage of Shepherdsville, KY, Jackie Exton, and Dorothy (and Tony) Pettit of Louisville, KY, and Debbie Willoughby or Drakesville, KY.
The visitation will be at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK on Sunday June 18th from 3-5pm.
Funeral, graveside, and reception will be at Floral Haven on Monday June 19th at 10am.
