Ruby L. Jones' Obituary
Ruby (Betty) Luella Jones, 90 of Glenpool, Oklahoma formerly of Tulsa passed from this life on Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Glenpool. She was born March 26, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to her parents, Melvin Jordan and Beulah May Smith Jordan. She married the love of her life, Jack Jones on July 19, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they shared in over 71 wonderful years together before his passing in January of 2021.
Betty graduated from Union High School with the Class of 49 where she played basketball, was a drum majorette and met her future husband, Jack. They had 3 children and she cared for them and their home for many years before going to work for Taylor's Good Pies for 18 years.
Betty had a beautiful smile, a fun spirit and a happy attitude toward life. She loved trips to the lake, was a great water-skier, and was a crafter extraordinaire. She also enjoyed their many cross country trips on their Goldwing motorcycle. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Betty is survived by two children, Pam King and her husband Charles of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Deborah Bickel and her husband Larry of Rowlette, Texas; three grandchildren, Larry J. Bickel and his wife Cristy of Austin, Texas, Melissa Hammonds and her husband Dex of Garland, Texas and Tyler King of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jocelyn and Juliette Miesse and Alice Bickel; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Beulah; her husband, Jack Jones; her son, Jack Kevin Jones and her grandson, Charles Clayton King.
All services will be private.
