I like the prompt, "Describe a day with Russell you'll never forget." We would get together only a few times each year, and each of those times was quality. I will remember parts of all of them. We were actively trying to adopt our first child, and I was keenly watching Russell as a father to Warren. Russell was always kind, loving, and fun. I will especially remember him and Warren taking turns on my pinball machine in the garage. And he would take the time to dive deeper on a conversation topic, or hang around to see what we might get up to next. I don't have many friends in my adult life who will stay for a good old fashioned "visit" without needing to get back to something else. I have always appreciated that about him and Aubree. Somehow he and they make "hanging out" memorable.
