Russell Human's Obituary
Russell C. Human was born February 16th, 1935, to Ernest Human and Ina Mae (Monroe) in Stillwater, OK. He graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Southern Nazarene University. He was a missionary to Swaziland, Africa and pastored churches in Kansas, Missouri, California, and Oklahoma. He was a district superintendent in Minnesota and Oklahoma. He also served on the boards of two Nazarene Universities, and the denomination’s general advisory board. Russell is survived by Ruth, his devoted wife of 66 years, daughter Cathy Jennings, son-in-law Chris Jennings, and was preceded in death by daughter Cindy Bryant. He has a surviving brother, Wayne Human (Pam) and was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Flowers. His grandchildren are Emily Pearson (Gavin), Caroline Jennings, William Jennings and Sophie Jennings and a great-grandson William Pearson, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Russell's life was characterized by sacrifice. He demonstrated Christ's love by giving himself fully to those he pastored, his extended family, and his wife, children, and grandchildren.
