I served with Russell for years in the American Veterans Honor guard in Tulsa, Oklahoma until work and health issues made it impossible. Russel was a good neighbor and friend. I started cleaning his house for him several years ago and we became friends. I cared for him like a father and tried to visit him as much as possible. He was so lonely the last few years at Heritage, I regret that I could not be there more than I was. I am so glad I went and spent Easter with him instead of my family. We had a few laughs and I will have fond memories of that day. He is now with Verlena, he so loved her and when he was able he dressed up and went to Tulsa from Tahlequah to see her every Wednesday until the end of her life on earth. I know they are together with God. I will miss you my friend. Toni
