Russell Edward Wingo's Obituary
Russell passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Claremore Veterans Center. He was born March 28, 1927 to William and Nellie Wingo in Corinne, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Billy Wingo and the love of his life, his wife Jeanette. Russell and Jeanette were married November 27, 1957. Russell is survived by his daughter, Cindy Reeves and her husband, William of Sand Springs OK and a son Russell Wingo, Jr. and his wife Sherri of Tulsa. He had six grandchildren, Amanda Patterson and her husband Kyle of Ft. Hood, TX, Joy Claxton and her husband Heath of Grove, OK, Jett Reeves and John Russell Reeves of Sand Springs, OK, Scott Wingo and his wife Denise and Monica Wingo. He had two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Lexi Patterson. He is also survived by three sisters, Joan Carter of Portsmouth, OH, Sue Moorefield and her husband Richard of Princeton, WV and Carol Wilcox of Mullens WV, several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Russell served in the Navy during World War II and retired from Crane Carrier Company in Tulsa. He was a Master Mason of the Mullens, WV Lodge 151. He enjoyed his retirement and considered himself the Lady Zebra's #1 fan and followed the ladies Softball and Basketball programs for many years. Funeral service will be at Floral Haven Cemetery 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow OK on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening, October 12, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00.
