Ruth Caroline Fouts' Obituary
Ruth Caroline (Tatum) Fouts, 87, homemaker passed away June 14, 2016 in Catoosa, OK. She was born October 9, 1928 at er home in Leon, KS to Thomas and Sarah (Gaskill) Tatum. Ruth attended school at Eldorado, KS and played violin in the Eldorado, KS Orchestra. She met her husband in high school and were married 1 year later on May 29, 1948 in the Methodist Church in Hamilton, KS. Her first born daughter was born December 22, 1949, Marily Kay Fouts born in Dewey, OK and her second daughter was born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1956 in Bartlesville, OK. She was a housewife and loved to work in the yard. She worked at the church for many years before she retired with her husband. She is survived by her husband Ernie of 67 years; daughters, Marilyn Saunders, Greg and Janice Champlin; 5 grandchildren, Colette Soltis and Jonathon, Michael Champlin, Kaytee Champlin, and Jennifer Champlin; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to the Alzheimer’s Association.Visitation will be 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday, June 20, 2016, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 20, 2016, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow.
