Ruth "Helen" Gilcrease's Obituary
Ruth ‘Helen’ Gilcrease, 80, passed from this life on July 3, 2018. Helen grew up in Shawnee, OK. She married the love of her life, Don Gilcrease and the two raised seven children together. Helen eventually opened her own brokerage company, Helen Gilcrease Realtors and successfully worked real estate both independently and together with Don after his retirement. We are comforted in knowing where Mom will spend eternity and we look forward to the reunion in Heaven. “Mom, we know you were ready to go, we just weren’t ready for you to go. Enjoy the dance with Daddy, Adam and the Angels. Love you always.” Preceded in death by husband, Don Gilcrease and son, Adam Gilcrease. Survived by brother, Wendell (‘Wink’) Ware; daughter, Belinda Myers and husband, Danny; daughter, Joy Blosch and husband, David; son, Don Gilcrease Jr.; son, Dr. Mike Gilcrease and wife, Rosa; daughter, Tonia Fisher and husband, Al; son, Chris Gilcrease and wife, Kim; along with 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation 3-8 p.m., Monday, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Service 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sharon Baptist Church, Shawnee, OK.
