Ruth E. Tomiello's Obituary
Ruth Ellen Tomiello was born January 25, 1932, in Prague, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Nellie Montgomery. Ruth left this earth on December 25, 2019, at the age of 87, for a home that has been prepared for her by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.She graduated from Prague High School and worked hard to encourage her son and daughter to attend college. She worked as a bookkeeper for Industrial Tile, where she met Francis, and later for Causey-Reynolds Tile until she retired. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, and traveling. Ruth also volunteered many hours helping Barbara with her second-grade classroom. After Francis retired, they traveled from Oklahoma to Oregon as he shared his talents with the Southern Baptist Convention to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the construction of several churches. She also was an active member of Garnett Road Baptist Church where she served in elementary, youth, and preschool departments.Ruth is survived by her daughter, Barbara McGrew and son Don Tomiello, four grandchildren, Katie McGrew Lewis, Kelsey Tomiello, Kendra Tomiello, and Kyle McGrew, and four great-grandchildren, Hunter McGrew, Kooper McGrew, Jack Lewis and Kylin Lewis. Ruth is preceded in death by husband Francis Tomiello and grandson, Kevin McGrew.Graveside service to be held 3:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2019 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens; Visitation will be from 1-3 pm prior to the service.
