Sage Ava Mae Barnes' Obituary
Sage was born to Christina Barnes and Floyd Celestine, Jr. Although she lived a short life, it was full of love and she thrived during those two years. One of our many favorite memories is her love for "Baby Shark". She would grab the remote and say "mommy do-do", which was her way of saying that's what she wanted to watch and she expected everyone to participate. Baby Shark was a part of our dreams for many nights. Even though she couldn't talk well, she had a way of giving you that certain look that let you know exactly what she wanted. She was learning her ABCs and colors and would happily sing along with the tv. She was full of personality and loved to show off her new clothes or shoes by pointing to them and modeling them for us. She will be missed in more ways than can be imagined, but our little angel is flying high and we know she will forever be wrapped in Jesus loving arms.
She leaves to memory her mother, Christina, and father, Floyd, two Grandmothers Cassandra Barness & Tries Batiste, two Grandfathers Joe Pierce & Floyd Sr., Great Grandmothers Willie Mae (Lee, Sr.) & Rosa Lee Boyd - who preceded her in death. Nine Aunts, Chonte (Kyrie) & Kiera (Robert) Barnes, Le'Tey Boyd, Rachelle, Miesha & Jarde Pierce, Brittany Pearson, Alexandra Pierce-Engram & Morgan Reeves. Four uncles DeSjuante & Sir Devin Boyd, Michael Phillps & Jamone Pierce. A Great aunt, Quinesta Barnes & Great uncle, Carlos Neal. She also leaves a host of cousins and other relatives who loved her dearly.
A beautiful soul is never forgotten, always remembered, and forever cherished.
Graveside Service will be 12:30 pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Jackson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Coweta.
